Adam Barnett is a professional journalist whose work has been published in The Guardian, Politico, the Financial Times and Private Eye.

He is UK News Reporter at DeSmog covering climate change, corporate greenwashing and misinformation. He is a former Staff Writer at Left Foot Forward and BBC Local Democracy Reporter.

He has reported from Turkey, the US and Egypt, and was a researcher on the Channel 4 Dispatches documentary ‘Strippers, Spies and Russian Money’ (2023).

Adam started his career in local newspapers, reporting on Town Hall corruption, and has covered news and politics including the rise of populism, Brexit, terrorism, and climate change.

He has reported for The Guardian, the i paper, The Telegraph, The Mirror, MailOnline, and The Independent, and written columns and features for Little Atoms, Politics.co.uk, New Statesman, Progress, Open Democracy, Dissent, and Prospect.

Adam was also Communications Officer at the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC), an international human rights NGO.
